Dehydes are what McDonald's employees have nicknamed some of the vegetable toppings 
that go on their burgers, especially onions.  
Since the vegetables and imported from far distances 
all the water from them is drained to prevent rotting.  
When the vegetables arrive at a McDonald's restaurant, 
water is added to them, and they become soft wand edible again.
